Ashgold spank Visiting Real Sportive

Obuasi, May 31, GNA - Obuasi Ashanti Gold F/C spanked Tema Real Sportive 3-1 in their 22nd Week Onetouch Premier League match played at the Len Clay sports stadium at Obuasi on Saturday. Ashgold opened the scoring in the 18th minute through Arafat Tanko and held on to their lead till the end of the first half. On resumption of the second half, Sportive lifted up their game and managed to level up the scores in the 52nd minute through Fuseini Nuhu. Ashgold accepted the challenge and pinned their opponents to their own half and in one of their forays, James Tagoe capitalized on a defensive blunder to put his side up in the 60th minute. Nathaniel Quaye sealed the doom of Real Sportive with a third goal in the 62nd minute.

Real Sportive made last minute frantic efforts to at least reduce goal tally but to no avail as they defence men of Ashgopld held them in check until the final whistle.
