Arsenal pip Chelsea at Sunyani

Sunyani, (B/A) May 27, GNA - Berekum Chelsea exhibited a scintillating performance but failed to find the much needed equalizer to cancel the lone goal deficit when they hosted Berekum Arsenal at their adopted Sunyani Coronation Park in the Week 21 edition of the GLO Premier League encounter on Wednesday.

Even though the performance of Arsenals was abysmal, striker Kwaku Sarpong gave the Club a sigh of relief when he connected in the 30th minute through a brilliant shot from about 40 yards from the center cycle.

Playing before electrifying partisan spectators, Chelsea displayed from the onset with well orchestrated passes but the strikers failed to penetrate through the resilience defence of the Arsenal side. The score line was nearly increased in the 40th minute but striker Francis Aggrey wasted a brilliant pass sent in by Stephen Amankwaa. After the recess, Chelsea mounted an intense pressure but could not penetrate through the resilient defence of Arsenals. Arsenals had three of their players with yellow cards for rough play by FIFA Referee Reginald Lathbridge getting to the end of the game.
