All Stars draws with Eleven Wise at Essipong

Essipong, (W/R) Oct. 18 GNA - Visiting Wa All Stars played gamely to hold Sekondi Eleven Wise to a one all drawn game in their Glo Premier League match at the Sekondi Sports Stadium at Essipong on Sunday. Wise were on top of proceedings but in the 44th minute, their defender, Stephen Aidoo, made a blunder by kicking the ball into his own net in an attempt of trying to clear the ball from All Stars in the goal area. Goalkeeper Kotei Blankson in post for Wise appeared unaware of the situation until the ball landed into his net for the supporters of the All Stars to start to jubilate.

The goal threw the Wise team into confusion but they managed to regain their determined posture before the first half ended. Back from the recess, Wise again asserted themselves on the game as they pushed the visitors to the wall and mounted pressure before they earned a penalty in the 47th minute. Goalkeeper Bright Akoto in posts for All Stars managed with difficulty to save the resultant kick taken by Sam Ayew-Yeboah. Ayew Yeboah later spearheaded an attacking spree for his side to get the much needed equaliser in the 65th minute. 1
