Greater Accra Hockey Knockout Finals

The Greater Accra Hockey Knockout competition whacks off at the National Hockey Pitch with exciting encounters on Saturday, November 22. The first final match of the day will see 2008 League and Gala Champions NDK Financiers engaging arch rivals Multistix in the Senior Division. The match is being described by hockey connoisseurs as “who is who” in Senior Hockey as a result of the impressive performances of Financiers in recent weeks. Multistix on the other hand are in the best of shapes and form, and are expected to give their opponents a tough opposition, as they have promised not to end the season without any silverware.

The Men Division final promises to produce fireworks as Trustees of SSNIT battles Exchequers of Bank of Ghana. Both combatants have in recent weeks been impressive in their engagements and this encounter is expected to churn out quality play. Trustees on their way to the finals sent Marines Sticks packing whiles Exchequers last week defeated League Champions CEPS on penalties after a one all draw game in regulation time.

In the ladies category, League champions, Reformers of Prisons pit their strength against Extinguishers of Ghana Fire Service. Extinguishers have not had a great season, but are expected to give their opponents a tough opposition in this encounter. At stake will trophies from the Greater Accra Hockey Association.
