NxtGen crowns 2018 with matchplay; supports Achimota Golf Club

NxtGen, a vibrant golf group, comprising of young businessmen who are passionate about golf has crowned its activities for the year with a match play tournament at the prestigious Achimota Golf Club in December 16, 2018.

A special fundraising segment characterized the match play final (Stableford scoring) this year which drew crowds from all over including international Nxt Gen members like Boris who flew in for the tournament.

The matchplay final determines the Nxt Gen Champion for the year and this year was geared towards raising funds to purchase a fairway mower and other course equipment for the Club.

Members pledged to support the Group's cause with amounts ranging from 500 and above.

Nxt Gen Captain, Michael Darko pointed out that the gesture was to support the Club maintain its international status.

GGA president, Mike Aggrey pledged GGA ’s support for the Nxt Gen group in their quest to sign on more youthful golfers.

It was Kwadwo Ampomah, who finished first in the keenly contested competition which has lasted over 6 months.

Charles Asante and Isaac Asante followed in second and third places respectively.

Yaw Afriyie left the club with high shoulders; emerging as the Most Improved NxtGen Player, while Aku Yabah picked the longest drive prize.
Vastie Amoafo Yeboah won the nearest to the pin prize and extended her dominance to the ladies event with 26 points.

A 40 stableford point handed Nii Odoi Odotei the overall prize in the support category.
