Lady Captain's Prize Golf at Tema

Tema, Jan. 21, GNA - This year's Tema Country Golf Club Lady Captain's Prize Championship tees off at Tema on Saturday, January 26. The competition, open to lady golfers throughout the country, is to be sponsored by Mrs Florence Etwi-Barimah, Lady Captain of Tema Country Golf Club.

Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, General Manager of the Tema Country Golf Club, who announced this at Tema on Monday, said 100 golfers are expected to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition, which would be played under the rules of the St. Andrew Golf Club of Scotland, the World's Golf governing body. Seasoned golfers including Mona Captan, Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong, Grace Afriyie, Esi Cobbina, Beatrice Vetsch-Bempong, Mary Asafo-Adjaye and Clara Price are among the participants expected to be seen in action.

There will be prizes on 'Nearest to the Pin on Hole 18' and the 'Longest Drive on Hole 17'. Mr Kofi Gyau, Captain of the Tema Country Golf Club will deliver his New Year Message at the championship.
