Celebrity Medal Golf tees off on Sunday

Tema, Oct. 18, GNA - The October Medal of the Celebrity Golf Club tees off at Sakumono, near Tema on Sunday, October 21. Mr Joe Ohemeng, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club who announced this at Tema on Thursday, said the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play event, which is open to amateur golfers in the Greater Accra Region, is to be sponsored by the Celebrity Golf Club.

He said the competition, which would be played under the rules of the Ghana Golf Association and the local rules of the Club, was expected to attract more than 100 golfers. Mr Ohemeng said some of the golfers expected to be in action include Abdul Aziz-Amankwa, Theophilus Asampong, Nick Smallman and Sam Sowah.

The Ladies Section will also see crack golfers like Mona Captan, Florence Etwi-Barimah, Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong and Grace Afriyie. 18 Oct. 07
