Young wins Taywood Bowl golf

Accra, Oct. 19, GNA - Stuart Young scored a plus of six, to win this year's Taywood Bowl Golf championship at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra, on Saturday.

Nicholas Smallman took the second position with a plus of two, beating A. Hustad on count back.

Geoff Fisher came fourth with a plus of one while Martin Ryan was fifth with an All Square score, beating Jonas Coffie and David Arkutu on count back.

Esther Amedzro won the Ladies event with a plus of two, beating Mona Captan, the Tema Open Ladies champion on count back while Wilhelmina Aggrey took the third position with an All Square score. The one-day Bogey competition, which was sponsored by Taysec Construction Limited, attracted more than 100 golfers.

Mr Kwaku Abebrese, Director of Finance of the Company, said Taysec would continue to discharge its corporate responsibilities to the community.

He gave the assurance that the company would continue to support the Club to develop the sport. Mr Samuel Adetola, Captain of the Club, appealed to corporate bodies and institutions to help develop the sport.
