Wisborn wins Hennessy Invitational Golf

Tema, April 22, GNA - George Mensah Wisborn scored 43 points to win this year's Hennessy Invitational Golf Championship played at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday.

Ayikwei Armah took the second position with 40 points when he beat Gyimah Kwakye and Fortune Akafu on count-back with Theodore Asampong placing fifth with 38 points.

Leticia Amponsah-Mensah won the Ladies event with 38 points followed by Eunice Adjakpo at second position with 37 points after beating Joy Arkutu and Florence Etwi-Barimah on count-back. Norquest Limited, the local representatives of Hennessy sponsored the One-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition.

William Asiedu Yeboah, Captain of the Tema Country Golf Club praised Norquest Limited for sponsoring the championship and urged members of the Club to encourage the youth to take interest in the sport.

Mr Eddy Duplan, Country Representative of Hennessy International gave the assurance that the company would continue to support the Club in its subsequent competitions.
