UT Financial Services Golf tees off at Takoradi

Accra, Oct. 2, GNA - The first UT Financial Services Open Golf Championship would tee off at the Takoradi Golf Course at Takoradi in the Western Region on Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12. Reverend Lee Mensah, Captain of the Takoradi Golf Club who announced this in Accra on Thursday, said the two-day 36-hole Medal Play event is aimed at introducing the new logo of the Bank in the Western Region.

He said about 120 golfers throughout the country was expected to participate in the competition which is reserved for amateur golfers. Rev. Mensah said some of the golfers expected to participate in the event include S. A. Mensah, Samuel Peprah and J. Coggin. Prince Kofi Amoabeng, Chief Executive of the Bank who is also the President of the Tafo Golf Club would perform the official launch of the event.

He would be assisted by Rev. Mensah to present the magnificent trophy donated by the company to the winner. The next competition for the Club is the Tigo Open scheduled for November 1 and 2 at the Takoradi Golf course.
