Tema Golf prepares for Celebrity on July 28

Tema, July 22, GNA - The Tema Golf Course would roll back into action after some weeks of inaction when the Tema Country Golf Club tees off against Celebrity Golf Club in an Inter Club Match Play championship on Saturday, July 28.

Mr William Asiedu Yeboah, Captain of the Tema Country Golf Club, who announced this at Tema on Sunday, said the one-day Medal event, which is being sponsored by the Club aims at strengthening the already existing cordial relationship between the two Clubs.

He said plans were far advanced to extend invitation to other Golf Clubs to participate in the monthly championships.

Mr Yeboah said the management of the Club had put in place adequate measures to ensure that the Course was in better shape to ensure fair competition.

He said a total of 50 golfers made up of 25 from each Club are expected to participate in the championship and mentioned some of the keys players of his side to include Felix Owusu-Adjapong, John Nyamadi and Alex Fiagomey.

The Celebrity team to be led by their captain, Joe Ohemeng will include Abdul-Aziz Amankwa, Akwasi Opoku and Aileen Conteh.
