Kwame wins Achimota Medal Golf

Accra, March 15, GNA-Rene Kwame returned a respectable net score of 67, to win this month's Achimota Golf Club Medal Open Championship played at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday. He was followed by Oswald Kamara with 68 net, while Kumi Ampofo placed third with 70 net. In the Ladies encounter, Francisca Vandyck came first with 70 net, while Suzie Abaloo-Kumassah took the second position with 72 net. The one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition, opened to amateur golfers in the Greater Accra Region, was sponsored by Somotex Ghana Limited.

Mr Bob Evans, Captain of the Achimota Golf Club thanked the company for sponsoring the competition. He said the club had put in place adequate preparations to ensure that Medal events were played every month. Mr Evans called on the members of the club to take active interest in the activities of the club. The competition attracted 100 golfers.
