Golfers prepare for Hennessey Invitational cup

Amateur golfers of Achimota, Tema, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim golf clubs, all in the Greater Accra Region, are putting finishing touches to their strokes for the maiden Hennessey Invitational Golf Championship scheduled for Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday, December 13.

A visit to the Achimota Golf Course by the GNA Sports on Monday indicated that almost all the registered participants are sharpening up their strokes and everybody is determined to carry the trophy away.

About 120 golfers are expected to compete in the event, which has full handicap as the entry requirement and is being sponsored by Norquest Limited.

Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the Tema Golf Club, told the GNA later that preparations including the watering of the field are feverishly going on to enable the competitors have a very good event.

Meanwhile, the Tema Golf Club would go to the polls on Sunday, December 21to elect Executive Members for the 2004/2005 season
