Golfers gear up for Tema Tigo Open

Tema, Aug. 7, GNA - All is set for this year's Tema Tigo Open Golf Championship scheduled for the Tema Country Golf Course from Saturday, August 12 to Sunday, August 13.

Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the Club who announced this at Tema on Monday, said more than 200 amateur and professional golfers are expected to participate in the two-day 36-Hole Scratch event which is being sponsored by Millicom Ghana Limited. He said the event which will be played under the rules of the World's golf governing body, the Ghana Golf Association and the local rules of the Tema Country Golf Club has Handicap 18 as the entry requirements.

The professionals will engage in a hectic 72-Hole event that will begin from Wednesday, August 9 and end on Saturday, August 12. Papa Owusu Ankomah, Minister for Education, Science and Sports is to be the Special Guest of Honour. 07 Aug. 06
