Golf in aid of needy children

A golf tournament dubbed "Swing for the Child" being organised by the Rotary Club of Accra and the Tema Golf Club comes off this weekend, Saturday May 24, at the Tema Golf Club.

Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, manager of the Tema Golf Club told the GNA Sports that the 18 hole tournament with full handicap is being organised to support disadvantaged children in the country.

He said the tournament is being sponsored by GIHOC Distilleries, La Beach Hotel, Golden Beach Hotel, Pink Hotel as well as a number of restaurants in Accra.

He invited non-golfers to be at the tournament to support a worthy cause by paying 80,000 cedis singles and 150,000 cedis doubles.

Meanwhile the monthly medal of the Tema Golf Club, sponsored by the Crocodile Matchets, Tema, comes off on May 31, he said.
