Ghana beat China in International Golf Championship

Tema, April 14, GNA - Ghanaian members of the Celebrity Golf Club defeated their Chinese counterparts 11.5 points to 6.5, to win this year's Ghana/China International Friendship Golf Championship played at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono, near Tema on Sunday. The competition, which serves to strengthen the already existing cordial relationship between the two countries, saw Ghanaian captain Joe Ohemeng winning the 'Longest Drive on Hole 15' while Chong Hong also won the 'Closest to the Pin on Hole 18' Mr Ohemeng, praised the participants for their high level of sportsmanship and asked them to keep it. He called on the members to take active interest in the activities of the club to raise the status of the club to an international level.
