Ghana Golf Awards now fixed for December 27

Organisers of the Ghana Golf Awards (GGA), Primeval Media Ghana Limited, has re-scheduled the second edition of the event to Saturday, December 27, 2014, at the Event Haven, Trade Fair Center, La-Accra.

The event, aimed at recognising distinguished golfers in the year under review was originally fixed for Saturday, December 13, at the Unique Floral Hall, Trade Fair.

The change in date was due to the 15th Anniversary celebration of the Okyehene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II – the special guest of honour.

According to a statement from Primeval Media, the original date coincided with the 15th anniversary celebration of the respected king, hence the need to reschedule the event.

“We deemed it necessary to accord our life patron the needed respect as he celebrates 15 years of leadership of Okyeman.

“We had no option than to reschedule the event to a convenient date that will ensure our life patron celebrates the event with us.” The statement said.

The 2014 GGA, the second since its introduction last year will confer honours on 20 distinguished golfers.

The event will be attended by Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II as the Guest of Honour and Sir Sam Jonah as chairman of the occasion.
