GCB Invitational Golf tees off at Tafo

Accra, Sep. 17, GNA - This year's Ghana Commercial Bank Limited Invitational Golf Championship tees off at the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) Golf Course at Tafo in the Eastern Region on Saturday, September 22.

Dr F.K. Oppong, Captain of the Tafo Golf Club who announced this in Accra on Monday, said about 120 golfers have been invited to participate in the competition.

He said the competition, which is the second to be sponsored by the Bank in the Eastern Region, would be played under the rules of the Ghana Golf Association and the local rules of the Tafo Golf Club. Dr Oppong said the entry requirements for the competition, which has very attractive prizes at stake, would be Handicap 18 and Handicap 24 for the Men and the Ladies respectively.

Lee Mensah, Yaw Assah-Sam, Mike Aggrey, Gilbert Morgan and Mike Ezan all of the Achimota Golf Club are expected to be in action. The Ladies section would also feature Mona Captan, Florence Etwi-Barimah, Esther Amedzro, Grace Afriyie and Esther Antwi. Mr Lawrence Adu Mante, Managing Director of the GCB is the Guest of Honour.
