All is set for the China National Day Golf Tournament scheduled for the Celebrity Golf Club, Sakumono this Sunday, organizers of the competition have said.

The 18-Hole competition put together by the Chinese Community in Ghana in collaboration with Giti Tyres is to observe China's 69th national day celebration.

About 150 golfers-pros and amateurs are expected to participate in the Stableford-format event.

It is categorized in men's Group A, handicap (0-14), Group B, handicap (15-25), ladies Group A, handicap (0-18) and ladies Group B (19-28).

Tee-off is at 8am but players are expected on the tee-boxes at 7:45 am.
According to the organizers, R&A, as well as local rules, would be applied. Also, a penalty of 25 strokes or total disqualification would be applied to all latecomers.

A cool rate of ¢100 is fixed as entry fee.

The competition, which has the Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Shi Ting Wang as the Special Guest of Honour is being sponsored by Giti Tyres.

Also expected to grace the event is Mr Tang Hong, president of Ghana Association of Chinese Society, Mr Li Xiaohai, captain of Chinese Golf Association and Mr Alan Chou, founder of Chinese Golf Association, Ghana.

At stake are special prizes-vouchers from Tang Palace and Caitec Motors products for golfers who will excel.

Preceding the event is the pros competition which tees-off tomorrow to Friday.
