Celebrity Medal Golf tees off on Saturday

Tema, April 4, GNA - The Celebrity Golf Club's April Medal Championship will tee off at Sakumono near Tema on Saturday, April 7. Mr Joe Ohemeng, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club who announced this at Tema on Wednesday, said more than 100 golfers are expected to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition.

He said the competition, which continues to generate interest every month would be played under the local rules of the Celebrity Golf Club. Mr Ohemeng said that very attractive prizes have been put at stake by the Club and therefore urged the participants to be punctual to ensure the early start of the competition.

The Ghana Amateur Open Golf Championship would meanwhile tee off at the Kumasi Royal Golf Club on Saturday, April 7 and end on Monday, April 9. CFAO Ghana Limited are sponsoring the three-day competition which is open to both amateur and professional golfers throughout the country.
