Celebrity Golf Medal on Saturday

Tema, Nov. 20, GNA - The November Medal Championship of the Celebrity Golf Club comes off at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono near Tema on Saturday, November 25.

Mr Ato Endmann, Resident General Manager of the Club who announced this at Tema on Monday, said the competition which is basically a Club affair, invitation has been extended to amateur golfers from other golf clubs in the Greater Accra Region to make the event more competitive. He said more than 100 golfers are expected to take part in the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play championship which is being sponsored by the Celebrity Golf Club.

Kofi Kim will defend the trophy he won last month. Most Golfers use the Monthly Medal competitions to sharpen up their strokes for major competitions.

The next major competition is the Bok Nam Kim Memorial, which tees off at the Bok Nam Kim Golf Course at the Air-Force Officers Mess in Accra on Saturday, December 2. Afko Group of Companies are the main sponsors.
