Aziz-Amankwa wins Celebrity Medal Golf

Tema, Sept. 29, GNA - Abdul Aziz-Amankwa returned a net score of 67 to win the September Medal Open Championship of the Celebrity Golf Club played at Sakumono, near Tema on Sunday. Ernest Kumi took the second position with 68 net in a competition which attracted 50 participants. The only prize in the Ladies category was won by Joy Arkutu who returned a net score of 69.

The two consolation prizes went to Aileen Conteh of Celebrity and Esther Antwi of Tema Country Golf Club. The one-day event, which was open to golfers in the Greater Accra Region, was sponsored by the Celebrity Golf Club. Mr Kwaksi Opoku, Competition Secretary of the Celebrity Golf Club, praised the participants for their commitment to the affairs of Club and called on members to take active interest in its programmes. Meanwhile the Celebrity Golf Club Lady Captain's Prize Championship will be played in mid-November.
