100 to vie for Tema President's Putter

Tema, March 14, GNA - More than 100 golfers will converge at the Tema Country Golf Course on Sunday, March 19, to vie for the Club's President's Putter. The competition which is open to amateur and professional golfers throughout the country is being sponsored by Mr Felix Owusu-Adjapong, President of the Club and also the Majority Leader of Parliament and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs.

Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Manager of the Club who announced this at Tema on Tuesday, said the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition, which shall be played under the rules of the World's Golf governing body and the local rules of the Club has Full Handicap as the entry requirements.

Kofi Gyau, Captain of the Tema Golf Club would lead a team of crack golfers in the likes of Bright Adablanu, Nicolo Catto and Alhaji Ibrahim all of Tema with Achimota Golf Club parading players such as Yaw Assah-Sam, John Sam and captain, Kwame Saarah-Mensah who is seeking re-election. Five prizes would be awarded in the Men's section while three will go to the Ladies event.
