There is nothing wrong with setting your own personal standards

Dr. Annie Gaisie Dr. Annie Gaisie

Having personal standards is a little like choosing your brand of toothpaste.

Having standards is about knowing yourself. Knowing what makes you tick in life, and the kind of person you want to be. It can take a little time to work out what those things are.

When we are Self-focussed, Assertive and fearless, we don’t need to worry about other people’s standards. Some call this ‘Law of Attraction’, others call it karma –

I call it "having high standards sets the tone for your life" .They are a better way to define yourself and enable you to make better decisions.

When those standards are set, it gives you and other people boundaries not to cross.

It's okay to be caring and loving.

Everyone deserves a second chance, but if others misunderstand your caring nature for being a "pushover " make sure you apply your boundaries and revisit your personal standards.
You don't just change your brand of toothpaste if it's doing its job well.
