Seeking Sustainable Democracy & Developm

Very convenient to forget Busia's "erudite" terror organizing skills! Democracy of grenades? Or perhaps coup d'etat? And his notorious intolerance. Nkrumah's books, pictures, effigy, party, party name and symbols -all banned. And yet now Frema reveals that the anti-Democratic Nkrumah offered her dad - the opposition leader - a cabinet post which he rejected. Just as Danquah rejected a post to the Academy of Arts & Sciences as the chair! And when NUGS made a humanitarian appeal to Busia to allow Nkrumah to return home to die, merely as a citizen, the democratic Busia summoned the NUGS leadership to parliament to apologize! Action speaks louder than words. One cannot preach virtue and practice vice! Ghanaian youth have nothing to learn from Busia on the practice of democracy. In fact, with all the constitutional weaknesses, corruption and injustices under the alternating administrations of the Ghanaian duopoly (NDC, NPP), there is more freedom in Ghana today than under Busia.
