Samson’s Take: The bloodletting chieftaincy feud

Mr. Anyenini:

You wrote, "Today, I question the usefulness of the National House of Chiefs for its obvious neglect of the duty imposed on it by the Constitution, and which neglect is largely to blame for the rampant endless chieftaincy feuds that continue to draw precious blood" (S. Anyenini).

Your reasoning suggests that since there is conflict over who ascends to a political institution, the institution must go.

By default then, it is time rid Ghana and other nations like Kenya of their presidencies due to election-related violence.

I should also mention that your view of unifying customary law in Ghana is at best, a smokescreen for cultural imperialism.

Sincerely,
Apostle Mawuetornam Dugbazah
Jesus is righteous, Ghana is not!
