Ghanaians have a very short memory, either it is because of partisan politics or it is because of their predisposed corrupt nature. The chief architect of the gruesome murders is still walking lavishly in the corridors of power and still being hailed as a hero in society.
Contrasting the treatment meted to the Chilean dictator Augustine Pinochet who ruled Chile for 16 years with our own JJ Rawlings who also rule Ghana for 19 years confirms the sordid culture of the Ghanaian servile acquiescence to the bogeyman and criminals in our society, where murderers such as JJ Rawlings walk free and uninhibited.
Ghana's culture of servitude has unduly created monsters, strongmen and charlatans in society to the extent that men in society virtually lose their balls when dealing with these charlatans and megalomaniacs.
The Ghanaian public know quite well that JJ Rawlings, Nana Konadu Agyeman, and Kojo Tsikata were fingered in the murder of the judges and the retired army officer. There was also incontrovertible evidence that those who committed the gruesome murders resided in the boys quarters of JJ Rawlings and Konadu Agyeman and the car keys used for the abduction sat on the dining table of the Rawlings'. According to the murderers, they knew they were carrying out operations on behalf the governing PNDC of which JJ Rawlings was the chairperson.
So why are JJ Rawlings, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and Kojo Tsikata walking free. These accessories to murder are still alive and free to go and come as they wish with impunity. My infinitesimal understanding of the law is that there is no statutory limitations to murder and if truly Ghana is law abiding and not a banana republic, then JJ Rawlings, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and Kojo Tsikata ought to face the full rigour of the law for the gruesome murder of the the three judges and the retired army office. Nothing less will be acceptable.
