Let us continue to pray for the President for a geinuine loyalty instead of such baseless criticisms. Please, reflect on the Mahama Ministers for a second. Let us support the President irrespective of our differences with constructive, innovative and creative criticisms. After all, he is the elected president for all Ghanaians and not for some.

Loyalists , party faithfuls, nepotism and tribalism is the basis of African politics. There is no checks and balances. The zeal to please, appease friends and party members is the order of the day. This practice has put very competent personality to the background. That is why Africa and Ghana is bleeding from mediocre performance of political appointees. Incumbent presidents don't even have the zeal to appoint any competent person in opposition to do the job. It is all about party loyalty and faithfuls . That is why Africa and Ghana is not getting anywhere. Just look at Mahama. He employed a bunch of Northerners into the NDC and gave them appointments although they were not competent and were non performers. Akufo Addo is doing the same. He is loading his cabinet with Akan based personalities to do his bidding.

Loyalty doesn't exactly capture the full range of factors you're trying to describe here. You may have to distinguish between loyalty to the president as a person and loyalty to the party. Many of the appointments you describe may be based on personal loyalty but others are based on party loyalty.
The clan members appointed may be personally known to the president and may have been more committed to the victory of Akufo-Addo the person than to the victory of the party.
Then there are other appointments that are for strategic reasons going to persons known to have been more loyal to the party than to the particular person in power. The two Northerners you mentioned and the two Ewe appointees may fall into this category. The clan appointees may not have gotten the posts they did if someone other than Akufo-Addo had won the presidency for the party. But the Northerners and the Ewes may have gotten their posts no matter who won.
In either case, loyalty, whatever type, trumps competence by far. But that is in the nature of things. The president can only appoint people from his own party. This means competence is subject to party membership which is itself subject to strong party loyalty.
It will take a very brave president to appoint a competent person to the "kitchen cabinet" who is only tangentially loyal to president and/or party. And almost impossible for a complete outsider.
But there are other important posts especially in the public services and para-statals. It is here that a courageous president must put competence over loyalty. But so many things are so politicized in Ghana that we are bound, at any time, not to benefit from the best hands available.
But, Steve, why are there so many petty grammatical mistakes in your article? I think you can do better to let someone review your articles before you submit them. There's nothing shameful in that. All serious writers do that. Look at this extract from your piece and check the grammar again:
"This major examples clearly points to the staggering reality that our new President obviously wants to be surrounded by people who will do his bidding without hesitation."
