In the just ended general elections, NDC relied on rigging the elections as they have been doing since 1992, and was blind of any sing showing clearly that they were going to lose. My advice to the electoral thieves is that, the world has changed so much since 1992, and NDC can't go on relying on rigged elections to rule Ghanaians.
With their rigging mentality and incompetence, they will surely remain in opposition for 40 years. And the reason is that Ghanaians have been yearning for democracy and fair play since independence.

The NDC wanted to take advantage of the bloated register to cheat by bringing in foreigners to vote. However the vigilance of the NPP was enough to thwart their dubious effort. Additionally it is not the turn out that was low; it is just that Ghana's voting population is not up to 15.8million.

Those who claim voter apathy for a turnout lower than 2012 are just dancing with lazy brains. Let's first admit the Voters Register is bloated. The certified number of eligible voters is incorrect by a wide margin. For me the legal victories that challenged amendments to CI 94, regarding polling center pink sheets, and more presidential candidates on the ballot enhanced the vigilant efforts by NPP against incumbent NDC potential rigging if they and anyone at the EC had planned any acts of electoral fraud. For the risk of any rigging scheme being exposed was too high . EC had to shut down its own electronic transmission because of hacking suspicions? The fact that NDC was clueless they have lost the election and were holding on to straws of Mahama victory 18 hours after 80% of votes have been counted indicated whatever plans they have to win were not working. All the NDC press conferences despite data in the public domain showed a party in self denial waiting for an EC life line that did not come. Looking at differentials of lower turnouts in Volta and western regions raise questions of ghost/ foreign voters from Togo and Ivory Cost in 2012. And in greater Accra the STL involvement in changing transmission of results? One can also suspect that '96; '04 elections were rigged due to spikes in voter turnouts. Or we must conclude that the electorate which has consistently turned out in lower numbers in every 8 year elections in our 4th Republic just wants to change incumbent parties after two terms no matter their performance? Can the NPP break that cycle or trend?

You're perfectly right for Volta region had about 46% ghost names and these ghosts were barred to enter Ghana from Togo.

With a total population of 27 million, and a population growth rate of 3%, Ghana's youthful population must be more than that of adults. Hence the correct youthful population is about 15 million and the adult (voter) population should be around 10-12 million. Hence with 15 million figure, the voters' register is bloated. Thank God.....Nana still won!
