Alhaji Mohammed Doku, The Light Of Ahafo

Listening to a very popular tune from highlife musician Ampadu,
blaring from the studios of Genesis FM, 88.5mHz Goaso, nodding in
agreement with the lyrics. The guitarist has just played a touching
solo, the pattern or scale used is pentatonic, the music though may be
classified as "titi-nwuom" is relevant in todays setting. I am writing
from my small corner called Goaso, the light of Ahafo.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

In the beginning was the world, and the world was with God, and the
world was God. And the earth was without form and void. And God said,
Let there be light and there was light. The God of light is the God of
Goaso and his son, beloved son is the Hon. Alhaji Mohammed Doku, a man
of simplicity yet with many outstanding names. Prophet of his time, a
man with outstanding personality.

You have once again been recognised as the hardworking and honest man
that you are. You have recently been awarded as the best performing
Mayor in Ghana. Even your political foes admit you are incomparably
amongst your peers.That which does not kill us makes us stronger.

On behalf of the Youths of the Asunafo North Municipality, I salute you.

Ayekoo!!!
