Thanks a lot for this very incisive piece. But then, given the nature of things in Ghana, the overly sycophantic and patronizing illiterate population will not see the import of this great piece. It is really sad to observe with disdain how opaque and stupid Ghanaians are.
Let's reflect, for a moment, on these three insightful quotations:
1. "Man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains." - Jean-Jacques Rosseau, The Social Contract
2. "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke
3. "All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent." - Edmund Burke
These three quotations, unfortunately, aptly describe the current situation in the country.
It defies all logic and common sense that even the learned in society, the shakers and movers in society, have thrown all decency and good overboard, and have pitifully and shamefully become the errand boys of the unlettered, criminals and riff raffs in society. Their stomachs have taken the better part of them. Ghana is now a failed state; how pathetic it is.

I foresee this message as a preamble of the worse to happen. A lot of us feel the same and it appears Ghana is not a country anymore. The trend of affairs is hugely unbearable people will soon react spontaneously. There is no justice, There is no governance, definitely none of these exist in Ghana anymore to the extent that Ghana cannot be called a nation. All professional bodies have lost recognition and their values and appear not to exist anymore. In a country where there is so much chaos and corruption to the extent that all efforts are made to steal even the presidency. In a country where parliamentarians become stooges, sycophants and mere rubber stamps to the executive only add more doses of sufferings to their electors. How sad for parliamentarians to sit and watch the president and his brother run the country as their personal properties. Equipment bought with tax payers money for the people is corruptly and forcibly taken from the people by the president and given to his brother. What is shocking is that the parliamentarians whose districts were to benefit are just cowardly looking on. This must not be looked at along partisan lines because the people, the people who voted for you to fight for their interest are suffering. The country will have no future if we remain timid. Very sad that we have these illiterate people who have gone through high education including many with doctorate degrees who are supposed to know better behaving as if they have never seen the classroom. The worse is yet to come
