This is the situation of the NDC Klottey Korley seat. In recent times there has been a lot of speculation about various candidates for the Member of Parliament for Osu Klottey. For purpose of this article I would like to concentrate on Dr. Rawlings and Hon Nii Amarh Ashitey and incidentally Dr Ezenator happens to be a school mate (Achimota Primary) of Dr Ashitey the daughter of Hon Ashitey who is a practicing Doctor at the moment in Ghana.

Hon. Nii Amarh Ashitey was born to natives of OSU and schooled through the famous OSU Salem Boarding School. He hails from a very big family linked to OSU Shia Wulu and Blor godo and Awusantso.

Nii, as he is normally called, is also a royal of the Teshie stool who was enstooled but for the love of the NDC he rejected the enstoolment. Nii Amarh Ashitey got into politics after he was appointed the mayor of Tema during the PNDC administration. He served for 8 years under the watch of President Rawlings and during his years as mayor he revitalized Tema and its environs.

He opened the Baatsonaa trade fair which has today become a big business hub. Hon Nii Amarh Ashitey was appointed the Minister for Greater Accra which he served almost to the end of the Mills administration but unfortunately he was removed from office for unknown reasons but speculations are of a domestic issue.

President Mahama also appointed Hon Nii Amarh Ashitey as the Employment Minister, he lead various high level officials to the ILO and was an advocate to stop child labor in Ghana. He was in the process of introducing various Career Technical Programs and strategies that would solves the youth unemployment situations in Ghana however he was removed from office for no specific reason.

Hon Nii Amarh Ashitey has served in Rawlings government, Atta Mills’s government, and the Mahama government. He is the only Ga at the moment in the NDC government with such accolade, he has never been linked to any scandal or any wrong doing in Government.

Hon Nii Amarh Ashitey is amazing, genuine, and sincere but he is being overlooked because, honestly, people don’t want anything real anymore because he has stood in the way of thieves and then they complain and advocate to have him removed. Having a good thing is hard because meeting a strong person is so rare. I believe Nii Amarh Ashitey is one of the few loyalist to the principle of the June 4th revolution.

Former First Lady and life President of the 31st December Women's Movement (DWM), Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings has explained the issues surrounding the restrained love affair between her daughter, Ezenator Rawlings and Selassie O'Sullivan-Djentuh, which led to the infamous identification hair-cut.

Mrs. Rawlings' security guards allegedly pounced on Selassie, her first daughter's boyfriend, scraped his head with a rusty razor blade and locked him up in a guard room at the Osu Castle, where her husband held sway.

The former First Lady later appeared on a radio station with a bellicose voice and with impunity, justified the maltreatment, saying it was a mere 'identification hair cut'.

Speaking on several Kumasi-based radio stations including Angel Fm last Wednesday, Mrs. Rawlings said she does not choose boyfriends for her daughters, playing down the identification hair cut given Ezenator's boyfriend.

The interview, which touched on her life out of power and the state of her DWM, was widely listened to by a large audience, and by the time it ended, a mammoth crowd had gathered at the premises of the station, with people craning their necks to catch a glimpse of the former First Lady.

It would be recalled, according to a January 2001 report by Amnesty International, Selassie O'Sullivan-Djentuh, aged 23, and two employees of his mother - William Katey and James Narh - were seized by armed men.

Because of previous threats by members of the presidential guard, his parents sought information on the whereabouts of their son at the Castle, which was refused.
His father was detained overnight for questioning by the military after appealing on national radio for information about their son.

The three men were released from detention after three days at the Castle, where they were reportedly assaulted, threatened and held in a dark and overcrowded cell in which there was no room to lie down.

After further threats, attacks in the state-controlled news media against the family, and the demolition by armed police of family property, Selassie O'Sullivan-Djentuh left the country for fear of his life.

His parents were charged with and convicted of assaulting a member of the presidential guard and offensive conduct.

On May 4, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings stormed the Kokomlemle headquarters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the company of two of her three beautiful daughters, Yaa Asantewaa Agyeman-Rawlings and Amina Agyemang-Rawlings, to pick nomination form to become Ghana’s female president.

As to whether Herbert was responsible for the new baby, Mr. Adams said he was unable to tell, and that there has been several rumors circulating about an alleged romantic relationship between one of the daughters of the former first family and Herbert Mensah.

It has now been confirmed that Herbert Mensah, has more interest in the Rawlings' family than a mere spokesman, or a family friend 'with nothing to lose'.

The Enquirer has confirmed from insiders close to the Rawlingses that Mr. Herbert Mensah, a married man, has secretly impregnated and had a baby with Ex-President Rawlings' eldest daughter, Ezanetor Rawlings. The baby, called Lily Rawlings, said to have been delivered quietly to avert what was seen as an embarrassment of having a baby with a married man, is reported to be living with her mother in Scotland.

Ezenator Rawlings had her first child with one Dr. Kenneth, an Irish medical doctor some years back, but arrangements to formalize their relationship proved unsuccessful. Last Friday, Spokesman of former President Rawlings' family, Mr. Kofi Adams denied any amorous relationship existing between Herbert Mensah and any of the daughters of the former family. He denied also that any of the former family's children had ever been pregnant for Mr. Herbert Mensah. By press time, Mr. Adams told "The Enquirer newspaper” that he was not 'sure' whether or not Ezanetor has had a new baby, adding that it has been a long time since he saw her.

Meanwhile, Mr. Herbert Mensah has not denied impregnating a daughter of the Rawlingses. He said he did not want to discuss "private matter," when “The Enquirer” quizzed him. He said on TV that he did not want to talk to the Enquirer and that the paper's Editor-in-chief, Raymond Archer has been harassing him with this matter.

A summary of the above articles reveals that she is a mother of two children; one with a married man, Mr. Hebert Mensah the other with a Scottish doctor, out of wedlock, a boyfriend who was subjected to brutality by your bodyguards, a very unstable person.
