I had arrived at Kotaka international airport for my flight back to the UK..All of a sudden there was a loud cheer of what i thought was about a thousand voices shouting GOOOOOOOOALL!!!!!. I thought what the hell was that..later i found out it was cheers from the crowd gathered to watch the match between Barcelona and Juventus at the arrival exit gate where members of the public await to meet people coming out. I almost collapsed in shame.. what makes anyone think that is the place to put a big screen TV for the general public to entertain themself..The first point of encounter for anyone arriving in the country is met by a large crowd talking loud and discussing football..Sorry folks please where are the airport authorities and security agents..We cant continue to drag the good name of Ghana into the gutter than we already are..PLEASE SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING

Unecessary lamentations. We just have to change the leadership and take someone who is ready to take the bull by the horns, decisive and bold.. no matter who is affected. We want soft leaders. We want corrupt leaders. We want timid and purpose less leadership. Then we lament over our self inflicting woes.
The solution is to change. We want change

Sir, you are right. We need to change the leadership but it has to start with changing the constitution and abolish the position of an Executive President which by itself breeds corruption no matter who holds that position. We also need a bi-camera legislature and a way should be found to check our representatives in Parliament as what we have today makes MPs a law unto themselves unaccountabke to anyone. Indendent commission s should be set up to monitor all organs of government. We should have and independent infornation disseminator and there should be a public forum where the citinery will have the opportunity to question MPs and Ministers about thing they have different opinion from tgat if governnent - this is demicracy in practice.

I don't think the writer of this piece is a Ghanaian. It is very difficult to comprehend what he has put across- of his English. However, corruption has been in existence for very long time, not only in the current government, what makes the current government unique is transparency of dealing with any corruption that pops up by setting up various commissions to deal with them. This gives the government much credit of tracing and bringing back any stolen money.

Topic of your writeup was relevant! But the English was bad. Ask someone edit your articles before posting. However, I agree with you, corruption is a malignant cancer that needs serious chemotherapy!
