"Be just O Nkrumaists

"BE JUST O NKRUMAISTS"

O Nkrumaists, we desire to know the status you accord Osagyefo in your fraternity such that blame is cast on those who criticize certain
aspects of his government?

Is it one of divinity as he himself opined that "trainees (at the Kwame Nkrumah Ideological Institute) should be made to realize the party's ideology is a religion and should be practiced faithfully and fervently "? If your
answer is in the affirmative then we are await to see your holy Scripture.

If on the contrary you agree that he was human and hence fallible, then show us the shortfalls in his Government since you disagree with almost all the criticisms his critics cite.

If the detention without trial of J. B. Danquah and other illustrious sons of Ghana was not erroneous then we doubt if you would see any of his erroneous actions as such.

He (J. B. Danquah), together with his colleagues invited him (Osagyefo) to join their struggle to liberate this land from the Colonial masters. They paid for his transport and general up keep.

We know most of you as men of intellect and high academic qualification and it amazes us how you strive to defend his indefensible actions.

Perhaps you have perused J. B. Danquah's correspondence from Prison to Osagyefo.

If you did, then did you see in it a father and a husband passionate to contribute in the training
of his children and the happiness of his wife?

Did you find in it a son having a strong desire to fulfill the wish of his father to make his home
befitting?

Did you see in it an intellectual, passionate to spread knowledge without having it to waist?

And above all, did you see in it a true statesman pleading and willing to contribute in the development of the Nation he had served for a major part of his
entire life?

Are these the characteristics of someone you would call a traitor?

How could you then persist in defense of the injustice done to this illustrious son of Ghana?

So Nkrumaists, it is upon you to desist from this 'name-calling' and work towards reconciliation since the Elephants have taken a
lead.

This will be best in the memory of Osagyefo since his erroneous actions will not have to be unearthed to always defend J. B. Danquah et al when unfounded allegations and slander are made against them.
