Metro Sports doesn't deserve best Sports show of the year

The RTP Awards, lack merit and the winners would repeatedly win it, because of its soft requirement in giving the awards.
Award given must be received with passion and heart felt tears of joy because of its suppose authenticity especially, when one receiving the award knows very well that he actually worked for it.Since, the inception of RTP Awards many radio stations and TV stations have turned it to be an easiest platform to showcase or advertise themselves in this country. The criteria in selecting the winner is wrong and makes the award ceremony lacks credibility.
An Award decided by the populace and anybody who can afford phone credit is not on merit.A proper and genuine awards are the one decided by the connoisseur of researchers who knows the grounds of personalities who deserves the award not on the bases of a mere fan of a certain presenter who because of number of text messages, can cheaply credits him that accolade.
A radio or TV station could just purchased many credit for his workers and fans to win themselves the award because it is just a matter of text message.
RTP Award organizers must learn from how the likes of powerful bodies like FIFA,UEFA and CAF do organize their respective best players awards.
What prevented the Radio sports show host of the year – Bright Kankam Boadu FM station in wining the best sports show of the year .The fact that,according to RTP Award officials - he is the best sports show host means that, the sports program that he won the award on is the best sports show of the year as well.Metro sports, if not text message syndrome comes even no near Hello FM in Kumasi.
The best morning show host in Brong Ahafo, shouldn't once again goes to Alhaji Tanko of Ark FM if the criteria were based on merit.
The likes of Nana Kas-Suncity,Kwasi Boateng formerly of Space FM who is currently at Hot FM in Accra are all far ahead of Alhaji Tanko whose morning show is just one sided.RTP organizers should avoid arm chair attitude in their award ceremony and moves to the grounds where they pick their contestants.
