Dear Sir/ Madam,
WAY FORWARD FOR CANDIDATES IN YOUR CONSTITUENCY THAT
UNDERPERFORMED IN THE 2014 WASSCE
Considering the massive failure of students who undertook the 2014 West African Senior High Certificate Examination (WASSCE), this letter seeks to suggest some of the means that can be adopted to enable these teenagers further their studies. It is true that most of the candidates who stay in the constituency did not write their exam in your constituency, however, the fact that they stay in your constituency cannot be ignored.
It is my hope that the following means prove significant if you so choose to help these boys and girls.
First of all, a scheme, which will be the organization of classes for those candidates in the 2014 year must be designed, and for only those who do not have the qualification to get into tertiary institutions.
Furthermore, all interested persons must sign on to the scheme in the form of registration at various centers that will be provided and these centers will serve as the place where those students who register there will attend the classes.
A moderate fee could be charged which would be used to motivate tutors who could mostly be acquired on voluntary basis; if possible, part of that fee too could be used to register such candidates for the 2015 NOV/ DEC exam.
The scheme should revolve mostly around the core subjects and a little more money charged on candidates who want to register and take classes for the various elective subjects, especially, General Arts, Science and Business.
These are only suggestions to project your principles and concepts of caring for those in your constituency, for that matter, caring for these teenagers and their parents in their time of need.
It is said that we should enter through the narrow gates. Aside caring for these young girls and boys, it will also be a means to win the hearts of voters in your constituency if the idea is accepted, well planned and implemented in the hands of good managers.
Counting on your co-operation.
Yours faithfully,
Asamoa Yeboah
Kasoa.
