Our freedom; our responsibility!!

Ghana, land of the bold
The land for the young and also the old
Blessed with oil, diamonds and gold
The land of peace and of different cultures
Our heritage is our pride

Soaring up high with freedom everywhere
We’ve freedom to speak and to preach,
Of suffrage and of the press
Of movement and many others
Through the blood and toil of our fathers,
Our freedom, is won for us
And their victory forever remains in our hearts

Now, it’s our time!
To defend and preserve our own
To take charge and protect our young
If our fathers, fought with their blood,
What are we doing with our might?
Freedom is not an individual task,
But a shared responsibility
Ghana, our home
Our freedom; our responsibility!!
