Must Ghana abolish stool lands and chieftaincy to achieve land justice

Ghanafuor, the question to ponder in the AI age, with its many exciting, positive, nation-building possibilities, is this: must Ghana abolish stool lands and the chieftaincy institution as we know it to achieve land justice?

Perhaps, as wise and aspirational Africans keen to transform our country into a prosperous and equitable society, we should remove the rolling burdens — violent land disputes — that endlessly stress traditional rulers across the territorial landmass of our Republic.

We can do this by nationalising all stool lands and paying fair compensation, so they can continue to enjoy the billionaire lifestyles they have become accustomed to.

Hmmm, 3y3asem oooo, Ghanafuor.

We can then create the peaceful environment required for transformation, with land reform and redistribution at its core.

This would empower landless families to build homes and establish farms nationwide.

Simple. Hmmm, 3y3nsem piiiiii, oooo. Ghanafuor.

It is in that light that we must contemplate abolishing the chieftaincy institution if we are serious and committed to remaining a stable and peaceful democracy. No question. Yooooooooooo.

That said, if it’s our so-called 'rich traditional culture' that we are enamoured with, then let’s transform Ghana into an elected democratic monarchy.

All Ghanaians would be royals and thus eligible to be elected as King or Queen and ceremonial head of state of the Kingdom of Ghana for a single ten-year term.

Executive power would rest with a prime minister serving five-year terms without term limits, leading the majority party in Parliament.

We can then eat our cake and have it too, wai, Ghanafuor. Haaba. A word to the wise…

Hmmm, Anansesemkrom Ghana paaa diy33. Tweaaaaaaaaaa…
