Mr. President and My Dear Ghanaians, Are Our Child

MR. GYIMAH, YOU'VE TOUCHED ON VERY IMPORTANT ISSUES INDEED. ANY DECENT AND WELL-CULTURED GHANAIAN WOULD CONDENM RAPE, SODOMY AND PAEDOPHILIA WITH THE LOUDEST VOICE!
MOST OF THESE ILLS OF OUR SOCIETY CANNOT AND SHOULD BE PUT TO THE DOOR STEP OF THE GOVERNMENT! THE GOVERNMENT HAS THE FUNDAMENTAL DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT THE CITIZENRY. HOWEVER, RIGHT FROM OUR FIRST REPUBLIC TO DATE, ALL OUR GOVERNMENTS HAVE NOT ADEQUATELY PROVIDED THE SECURITY AND PROTECTION TO KEEP GHANAIANS SAFE FROM RAPE, ARMED ROBBERY, PAEDOPHILIA AND OTHER SOCIAL CRIMES! THE NUMBER OF POLICE FORCE IN THIS COUNTRY IS JUST WOEFULLY INADEQUATE TO POLICE THIS COUNTRY. THERE'RE NO TOUGH LAWS ENACTED BY ANY GOVERNMENT TO DETER CRIMES COMMITTED AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN!
OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM HAS FAILED THE NATION, HENCE MOST OF THESE WOMEN AND CHILDREN END UP ON THE STREETS AS EITHER HAWKERS OR HOOKERS!
OUR VARIOUS SUCCESSIVE GOVERNMENTS HAVE FAILED TO CREATE GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT THROUGH THE SETTING UP OF LARGE-SCALE/COMMERCIAL FARMS IN OUR VARIOUS REGIONS AND POLITICAL HARASSMENTS HAVE DISCOURAGED PRIVATE ENTERPRISES IN THESE INVESTMENTS.
HOWEVER, WE CANNOT BLAME THE GOVERNMENTS ALL THE TIME AND WE THE CITIZENS HAVE TO TAKE UP SOME PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES IN OUR EDUCATION AND PROTECTION. MOST OF THESE CHILDREN ARE FROM BROKEN HOMES AND WE DON'T NEED THE GOVERNMENT TO "FIX" OUR BROKEN MARRIAGES!
