NPP: MOANING AND WHINNING

It's just sad when an intelligent person like you due to your chronic hate of Kuffour and NPP close your eyes to the massive development that took place in Ghana for the past eight years.

Mr Ansah, what do you think a GDP that went up from 3.6 billion dollars to 17.3 billion would do to an economy? NPP within 8 years increase our economy more than fourfold.

MR Ansah, your NDC left 233 million dollars in the coffers to cater for Ghana in 2001 for just three weeks. In 2008, NPP left your NDC 2.3 billion dollars for a hefty four months.

NPP inherited an inflationary figure of 42%, Interest rate at 52%, the poorest in society at 39.2% in 2001 and by the time they left office in January 2009, inflation was down to 18.1%, interest rate was down to 18% and the poorest in society has gone down to 19.%, now inflation is inching up again, at present 20.56%, interest rate is up to 25% and the poorest in society is going up due to the 40% depreciation of our cedi within five months of Mills administration.

Now lets talk about the health of our economy.

In 2001, our GDP was 3.6 billion dollars while our debt burden was 6.8 billion dollars a negative ratio of GDP/DR of 1:2, that is we had twice the debt than the total production of the country.

Now lets see what NPP did. NPP increased our GDP to 17.3 billion while our debt was 7.8 billion dollars, a complete reversal of our negative GDP to debt ratio. Our GDP/DR now is positive 2:1, 17.3/7.8 INSTEAD OF THE NEGATIVE 3.6/6.8 that NPP inherited.

Nna Ansah, Ghana did not achieve B+ rating at the international market that made it possible to wean ourselves from IMF and WORLD BANK loans and its austerity measures by "EATING CON BEEF" at the wheels but rather NPP achieve that status that made Ghana a very attractive destination for investors with innovative economic ideas, selling soverign bonds at the LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE.

Now your NDC stupid administration is back at IMF with bowl in hand begging for 3.5 billion loans because we cannot go to the capital market to borrow money anymore because of the deterriorating economic mess ATTA MILLS is presiding.

IS THIS THE CHANGE MILLS PROMISED? WHAT KIND OF CHANGE IS THIS?
