NPP electoral malfeasance

Humphrey Reveals NPP electoral malfeasance

The NPP leader Akufo-Addo has been told by almost all their “malams” and other “juju” men that this time around there is no way they are going to win the election therefore the NPP wanted to use other ways to rig the election. Ladies and gentlemen, I want to make it clear to them that we are aware of all their electoral hocus pocus.

1. They started the nonsense by bloating the voters register in Ashanti region and other respective regions to make up for their shortfalls by which margin they will loose in their calculations.

2. THE ILLEGAL VOTERS REGISTRATION CARRIED OUT BY THE DISGRACED KEN AGYEPONG AND HIS CRONIES IN THE U.S.A. WE ARE AWARE….I dare him to refute this allegation!

3. THE VOTERS CARDS IN THEIR POSSESION AND THEIR PLAN TO BUY OFF NDC POLLING AGENTS AMONGST OTHERS.WE KNOW HOW MUCH THEY INTEND TO GIVE EACH NDC POLLING AGENT.

4. THE MILITARY OPTION FOR ALL THAT IT ENTAILS…TO INTIMIDATE. HARRASS AND SCARED THE VOTERS OFF. WE ARE WAITING FOR THEM…NPP BRING IT ON NOW!

5. "NPP Malfeasance" by reading a leaked document from the camp of the NPP codenamed "Ways & Means" in which the party drew up a 13 Point Action Plan outlining how they will buy the EC and Media, bloat some regional voters' registers, and announce election results ahead of the EC. PEOPLE KNOW…WE SHALL SEE…

Since the last general elections, many concerned citizens have been calling on the Electoral Commission (EC) to ensure that the electoral process leading to the next polls is smoothened, with all materials to circumvent any last-minute confusion and messiness.

As usual, the EC promised that all was on cause and that orders had been placed for the required materials to be available at the appropriate time .Meanwhile they are in bed with the NPP government. WE WILL FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS….The EC is supposed to be independent, but apparently they are been biased. EC YOU ARE WARNED!

However, many felt edgy, when it was discovered that the Government had not even released funds for the procurement of additional electoral materials and that even some officials of the commission were getting worried over the delay. WE KNOW NPP’S HIDDEN AGENDA …WHEN I UNVEIL THEIR SHENANIGANS, THEY KEEP THREATNING ME. NPP for your information I am not detoured by your threats. Then, only a few months ago, the danger signs began showing, when the bloated-register scandal exploded on the face of the EC, and in its defense, rather caused a stir, by revealing that the register had been tampered with, perhaps, without the knowledge of some of the top men, who told different stories, at different times. A BLUNTED LIE…NPP WE WILL MAKE SURE THIS TIME AROUND “WE NO GO GIVE YOU GABA, WE GO POLICE YOU GUYS TILL THY KINGDOM COME” Still, Ghanaians had to swallow up both truth and deception and hope for the best. But that hope evaporated, when it became unambiguous that the EC was having problems in even fixing a date for the re-opening of the voters' register. OH

MY GOD…

As time was running out, it became palpable that there was going to be a stampede when the register was opened, even with every material, well in place.

IT CAME TO PASS…

Time ran out. And not only that. The whole arrangement for the registration has been so unsystematic, that many Ghanaians, now stand disenfranchised, since known registration centers have either been changed or made unoperational for the reasons only EC and Akufo-Addo know. The electoral commission is colluding with the grand scheme the NPP has in place. EC YOU ARE WARNED AGAIN… And, part of the problem is being traced to either lack or shortage of materials. The result is what we now see, all around us. Confusion galore! So, we now wait for the Electoral Commission to compose a lie to defend this untenable situation. EC please don’t even try to explain because we know whatever you are going to say is a blunted lie.

For, there must be a reason as to why the problem could be seen in its farthest, only in places, known to be strongholds of the National Democratic Congress, what a pity!.. Can one be right in suggesting, therefore, that there is a plot or a complicity of some “forces” to give gratuitous advantage to the NPP? YES WE KNOW IT.

We recall how the same EC handled the registration and the subsequent process in 2004, in which confusion was planted in some areas, especially in the Volta Region, which disenfranchised many citizens for obvious reasons. Nevertheless, the EC allowed that certificateless Jake Obetsebi Lamptey to announced the election fraudulently. ONLY IN GHANA…I am warning the NPP to shy away from that nonsense because this time around we are not going to allow that nonsense to happen.

Forthcoming events cast their shadows. And unless the minority parties restrain their loins to sound their protests louder, we are afraid the case will be worse, come December because some of us “WE NO GO GREE”.

Millions of Ghanaians would be disenfranchised in the forth-coming critical elections in December, this year, as a result of poor arrangements and incompetence for the on-going voters' registration exercise being carried out in the country WHILST TO THE CONTRARY THE FIGURES IN HAVE FURTHER GONE UP. It has now become clearer that the exercise has in-built mechanisms designed to disenfranchise millions of frustrated youth eager to exercise their constitutional rights to vote for the first time in this year's elections. WHAT AN INFANY!!!

It was crystal clear that at Kokomlemle, a suburb of Accra, for example, where the registration centre was located at the Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTC), the place was swamped by fervent youth to such an extent that by 3.00PM on the first day, registration and photographic materials had been exhausted, and disappointed youth had to go back home, angry and frustrated. WHAT A SHAME!!!

The following day, the crowd had grown so large and thick that registration officials could not get breathing space and were beleaguered by absolute numbers. Overwhelmed by overtiredness and fatigue, their work rates were reduced to snail pace, and many more people could not register on the second and last day at the particular centre at Kokomlemle. Similar scenes have been reported in Accra, and all over the country, particularly, in the cities and urban centers.

Another more disturbing development is the violence and well calculated plans to prevent people from registering in certain parts of the country, particularly areas considered strong holds of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). WHY OH WHY… The violence, ascribed to agents of the ruling NPP, and closing down of registration centers in the Tamale metropolis, the largest city in the North and a major stronghold of the NDC has been cited as one of such instances.

Intimidation and harassment of persons known and perceived to be of Northern and Voltarian extractions in certain Akan areas of the country, particularly, in Ashanti and Akyem and Assin areas, are being physically molested and prevented from registering by youths and hirelings of the ruling NPP and condoned by the corrupt and incompetent, thievery government. The police have been said to be silent on many of these abuses. In the Volta Region where the NDC is a religion, calculated measures by the Electoral Commission (EC) has been built into the exercise such that fewer registration materials were sent to the region and the registration centers located at unannounced places, thus frustrating people from registering. The ruling NPP is reported to be bussing its supporters and sympathizers from constituencies which they consider to be their strongholds to other constituencies where they are disadvantaged to register against existing electoral laws and that compromised drop out law student and bias unethical journalist Gabby got the impudent to say that what the NPP is doing is legal. We are ready for the nonsense.

According to sources close to the Electoral Commission, the EC had made arrangements for only about a maximum of 1.5million registration forms. The numbers turning out however could well reach over three million by conventional estimates. They think we don’t know and again the Police and the Bar association are not talking. Some of the events underlining the complaints against the EC, the Police the ruling NPP government are: substantial bussing of people by the NPP to register at Polling Stations in Constituencies they consider marginal, the Police collusion with the NPP and the EC as juicy promotions, transfers and 'painful' dismissals were carried out among the rank and file of the Police with the aim of aiding the Elephant to achieve its grand stratagem of disenfranchising Ghanaians". AND PLANTING NPP “APALAHALA” AS LEADER…TUFIAKWA.

I believe that the Electoral Commission's (EC) has failed Ghanaians. "EC must burry its head in disgrace for the ostensibly dappled and politically-biased registration they have conducted". I therefore question the credibility and procedure for selecting the Registration Officers, maintaining that their intelligence on the ground proved that some NPP party fanatics were the ones selected as officers.

The clear danger to Ghana's democracy in disenfranchising millions of frustrated persons willing and eager to exercise their constitutional rights to choose a government of their own, could be very dangerous. NPP WE ARE AWARE OF ALL YOUR ELECTORAL HOCUS POCUS. The ruling National Patriotic Party (NPP) is conniving with the EC, aided by the Police to declare victory at the December 7 2008 polls. WE SHALL SEE…

AGAIN I ASK “IF GOLD (K4) ROT, WHAT WILL IRON (AKUFO-ADDO) DO”
