question marks???

Apparently writer did not save his posting as a .TXT file but rather in a formated form (like .DOC or .RTF whatever). It could also mean that he cut and pasted from a formated editor.

Due to their formatting and the corresponding character encoding, some characters will appear different in a 100% ASCII environment, like where I have typed this information.

In some cases, a character will be like a square and in general a character is displayed as a question mark when this character gets lost in translation.

To solve this problem, it is advisable to save files meant for this forum as .TXT, which removes any formating, making you characters look the same wherever it is displayed.
