Letter From The President: Wayward Seini ...

Wayward Seini, unnecessary by-elections

Countrymen and women, loyalists and opponents

I think there are too many ?stomach politicians? in this country. They are the ones who defect or cross carpets at the least opportunity ? just to ensure that their stomachs are constantly filled. They have no sense of shame and their conscience seems to have been seared by insatiable greed and sheer stupidity.

Take Wayward Seini as an example. He used to be a very powerful man in our party. When the Ya Na was (unfortunately) assassinated, he decided to turn his back on us. He called me all sorts of names and accused me of masterminding the dastardly act. Thereafter, he decided to leave our party claiming that we lacked ?internal democracy?. Where did he go from there? He went to the NDC. The man left our party because we lacked ?internal democracy? and decided to join Jerry Boom?s Not-so Democratic Congress. It was a strange decision which made luck smile at him because through some undemocratic machinations he was chosen to vie for the Tamale Central parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NDC. Unsurprisingly, he played the ?Dagbon card? and won.
