You Don’t Deserve Salary Increase
(Okyeame Tells Minority NPP)
Brethren, I bring you greetings from the Most High and believe your weekend had been wonderful; and without stress, regardless of the irreparable damage that the NPP flagbearer, Mr. Williams Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his Minority has caused this nation.
In fact, I sometimes feel ashamed of myself as a Ghanaian as a result of how members of the NPP continue to embarrass and destroy the hard-won reputation of this country, as regards their continuous misconduct because they want power ‘at all cost’.
Before His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills, on Thursday 16th February, 2012, went to Parliament to deliver a message on the State of the Nation as required of him per article 67 of the 1992 Constitution, something very disgraceful cropped up, where the NPP flagbearer was captured on video fondling a make-up artist in the employ of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), when he visited the broadcasting house somewhere 2008, in the run-up to that year’s general elections.
To be honest, folks, the said video on the social network, YouTube, that people are accessing and its comments are not only unpalatable to the already soiled reputation of the NPP flagbearer, but the nation as a whole.
Although, it has never been in doubt that Akufo-Addo has a very bad track record when it comes to women, one thinks that he will limit his morally bankrupt attitude to his party women. But to the surprise of all Ghanaians, this chap decided to visit his awful sexual prowess on an innocent make-up artist, whose marriage, I have been reliably informed is on the brink of collapse.
Beloved in the Lord, I have followed this issue with keen interest ever since it became public; and I can say that the image of this country out there, is not the best: That is why I disagree with those trying to justify the said conduct of the NPP leader, even though he seems to be at the receiving end of most of the attacks.
As if this despicable behavior by the NPP flagbearer that has so much dented the image of this country was not enough, the “Lawrence Kwaku Addae” Osei Keyi Mensah-led Minority in parliament, decided to further put Ghana once again, in the bad light, during the delivery of the State of the Nation Address by the President.
Parliament last Thursday was completely turned into Makola market, following the gross misbehaviour on the part of the Minority NPP.
Instead of them paying particular attention to what the President was saying, so they to be in a better position to offer some constructive criticisms, they decided to misconduct themselves. And In a deliberate attempt to distract the President as he reads out his message on the state of the nation, the “Lawrence Kwaku Addae” –led Minority, with the empty barrel Assin North MP, Kennedy Agyepong playing the lead role, chose to jeer at the President.
As of their decision to put on black cloths and as well wore red bands, I will bother myself at all about that. But what is very interesting is that just days before the state of the nation address, our parliamentarians were heard making all sorts of noise on salary increment; and I wonder whether they are indeed serious.
Having turned the august house into a playground where some of these supposed honorable persons engage in gross misconduct like that egg-headed Kennedy Agyepong and his team-mate Maxwell Kofi Jumah, who have made it their business to be hurling insults on people, I don’t think they deserve any salary increase.
To be frank with you, folks; the taxpayer’s money cannot be wasted on people, especially, those like Kennedy Ohene Agyepong and Kofi Jumah, both of whom have no sense of direction in there.
And since they are a subset of the group, it is better the entire body is deny the goodies that come with their job, including salary increase, period!!!
