Working within your time zone

Samuel Danso, Writer Samuel Danso, Writer

No condition is permanent, so Christians should not be grieved in any way. If we do not have all things according to our desires, we need to wait for God’s perfect timing. God has given to man that portion of duration called TIME, which is an important asset for success. Time is a unique and interesting resource, invisible, unalterable and unstoppable. Time, according to the Merriam-Webster’s dictionary is the measurable period during which an action, process, or condition exists or continues.

It is important to acknowledge the fact that, God, by His providence, governs the world, and has determined particular operations and seasons to particular times. In these times, things may be done with decorum and success.

Nevertheless, if we neglect the appointed seasons, we go against God’s divine providence and thereby become authors of our own distresses. God’s promises are not always fulfilled as quickly as in the way that we might hope for, but rather according to His timing. Nothing can stop God’s plan for your life if you truly depend on Him.

We must acknowledge the inviolable steadiness of God’s providence in whatever changes we see or feel in this world. The sun rises and sets, the moon increases and decreases, yet both are where they are, and their revolutions never change.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 posits that “To everything, there is a season, a time for every purpose under the heaven.” Solomon reiterates that life is really a matter of timing. The events of life do not randomly happen by chance. God, in His infinite wisdom, has a purpose behind them and there is a sense of success behind every appropriate timing. There is a lawful “time” for man to carry out his purposes and inclinations which is in harmony with God’s divine providence.

It implies that their events, when considered in their relations, tendencies, and seasons, will appear very beautiful. God always makes everything beautiful in His perfect timing. We must wait with patience for the full discovery of that which to us seems intricate and perplexed, acknowledging that we cannot fathom the work that God does from the beginning to the end, and therefore, must not judge anything before their time.

In working within your time zone, don’t compare yourself to others because you have no idea of what their journey is all about. It is prodigious, that life is not about rushing, comparison and doing what others are doing, but rather keeping calm and doing what is right and what you are called to do. There are age mates, classmates and school mates but there are no destiny mates in life. Love who you are and appreciate God, because your special journey may not look like others.

Forget all critics and move on. The lion does not turn around when a small dog barks. It is worthy to remark that, Weak people revenge, strong people, forgive, and intelligent people ignore. Keep focusing on your dream. Being a good person is like being a good goalkeeper. No matter how many goals you have saved, people will only remember the one you have missed. Never live your life to impress others. Always do the right thing and keep pressing on, forgetting about all detractors and the past.

Expounding further, that fact that Nigeria is one hour ahead of Ghana does not mean Nigeria is fast neither Ghana is slow. Both are working in their time zone. Some got married and waited for 16 years or more before having a child. Another had a baby within a year of marriage. Some also graduated at the age of 20 and waited for five years before securing a job. There is another who graduated at the age of 25 and secured employment immediately. Everyone works based on their time zone. People may have things worked out only according to their taste. Some may seem to be ahead of you but remember that everyone is running his/her own race in their own lanes and their own time. Time is the difference.

Former President Barrack Obama of the United States of America retires at the age of 55 at the presidency, but President Donald Trump resumes at 70 years. Hold on, be strong and stay true to yourself and your dreams. All things shall work together for your good as explained in Romans 8:28 (And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose).

In conclusion, I want to admonish that you are neither late nor early. You are very much on time. It is your time to shine. Be optimistic and hold on to your God given dreams. Never give up since better days will soon come.
