Gomoa District Assembly donates blood-testing instrument to hospital

The Gomoa District Assembly has donated spectrophotometer, a blood-testing instrument, to Apam Catholic Mission Hospital.

The instrument, worth 20 million cedis, was bought from the district's share of the Heavily Indebted Poor Country (HIPC) fund.

The donation was in fulfilment of a promise the District Chief Executive, Miss Joyce Mildred Aidoo made to the hospital when the one in use was stolen from the hospital about a year ago.

Mr Frank Essel Cobbah, Presiding Member, said the assembly would help to improve services at the hospital.

Dr Charles Ntiamoah Takyi, Gynaecology and Paediatric Specialist in charge of the hospital, who received the item, thanked the district assembly appealed to citizens of the area to assist the hospital.
