“Useless Insults” Debacle; an Open letter to the President

Dear Mr. President, I have listened to some key-notes of your speech delivered at an NDC rally at the Trade Fair Center-Accra, on the afternoon of Sunday, 16th November, 2015, during which you said any Ghanaian who has not occupied the office of the president, has no locus to examine your performance under a microscope; and I have these ten [10] simple questions for you, Your Excellency:
1. If only former presidents are the ones fit to pass judgment on your performance, then, why do ordinary Ghanaians have the ultimate power, under the constitution, to pass the biggest judgment on your performance in general elections?
2. Your party claims to be social democratic-leaning, ideologically, and therefore have respect for the common-man.So, why are only former presidents are the only crop of Ghanaians fit enough to criticize you?
3. Why don't you do away with the institution of Counsel of State since none of them is a former president and are therefore not qualified to counsel you?
4. None of these chiefs who have lined up with massive endorsements of your candidature for election-2016,is a former president so why are you not telling them to shut-up and 'go-way-you' with their unpresidential endorsements?
5. Is any of your numerous so-called presidential advisers, including characters like Sam George, Akua Donkor, Atokunor, Kojo Adu-Asare, Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, a former president?
6. Your great army of insipid propagandists are not former presidents so why do you think they are qualified to speak for you?
7. I know you do listen to members of National Peace Council; may i know if members of this state institution is a former president?
8. You have a personal security detail that ensures that you are fully protected, 24/7; are the personnel of this team former presidents?
9. Is your personal official chauffeur and cook in whose hands lies your daily personal safety, a former presidents?
10. Why don't you, single-handedly, change the constitution and make it a law for only former presidents to vote on Election Day?

I am patiently waiting for your kind response in anticipatedly anticipated anticipation.

Thanks for your kind attention, Your Excellency.

Sincerely yours

Justice Abeeku Newton-Offei
