The 2014 Tamale Delegates Conference: The day Lucifer Descended Into The Fold of NPP

On Saturday, 12th April, 2014, the New Patriotic Party, (NPP) convened at the grand Tamale sports stadium, to hold its quadriannial delegates conference. In attendance were some 140,000 representative delegates, drawn from all polling stations across Ghana.

There had been a three months pre-election campaign period, making it possible for all contestants for the various contestable positions to pass their messages across.
The two topmost, and the most prestigious executive positions, that of the Chairman, and the General Secretary, were contested for, by Paul Afoko, and Kwabena Agyapong, both emerging as challengers.

The Saintly and Angelic messages delivered by Afoko, and Kwabena Agyapong, happened to be the most enchanting and the most appealing to the "King making" delegates, who readily gave them their requested approbation.

Delegates were not only enamoured to the seemingly melodious messages of Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong, cash, kudi, lucre, argent, sika, and indeed all forms of irrecusable inducements played a major role, as they were used to imbibe the venal and tractable attention of the frail and maleable, the easily corruptible who composed the lot of the delegates.

Recriminative accusations of alleged unproven thievery and dishonest takings were made against the contested sitting executives who had performed fantastic duties in all forms of steadfastness. In closing their nebulous obscured deal, insinuations of mistrust of all other novel in-coming contestants poured in from the Afoko/Agyapong camp, to dilute and divert good judgement for a factitious option.

The especially towering gait of Afoko, almost one and a half times the size of any normal human being, an NPP "Goliath" in his own right, was also a determining factor. It cropped up in an era in the NPP, that saw simple minds making fuss about Colossal height and size, drumming our ears on the airwaves, as the required and most admirable, and winnable leadership quality.
Kwabena Agyapong, though naturally and comparatively vertically challenged, rode on the Afoko height propaganda success by accident of his being in one and the same camp.

The supposed sweetest melodic messages of Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong have today been manifested as the most deceptive in the history of the Party, and from the most cantankerous characters, similar to the Lucific appearances and mendacious dulciloquent "Angel," whose cunningness eluded even God's wisdom and omniscient intelligence, as contained in Milton's "Paradise Lost"

Strength, power, strategy, wisdom, and indeed leadership qualities, after all, do not repose in, and have absolutely nothing to do with having gargantuan size nor looks. The hallowed is by nature, already unctioned with anointing, irrespective of size and apparent glorious appearance

Whether it was known or unknown to the NPP as a whole, I can confidently confirm that Afoko, and Kwabena Agyapong got huge sponsorship deals from the NDC, and they persist in enjoying from NDC and John Mahama handout subventions. It therefore beats my imagination as to why the entire Party could be deaf and blind to these overt dealings. There have been situations and events that have been blatantly expressed by the conduct of the duo. I wonder whether it is by choice of the Party, not to bother, or by fate to be so unconcerned about factional dangers, or by destiny to allow ourselves to be perpetual electoral losers. I cannot believe it if the NPP has been so cursed to be this much tolerant and forbearing of mischievous nonsense, thereby being so insensitive to such an inter party political threat that can lead to highly potential dire consequences.

Bravo, to the courageous National Council of Elders, for proving the availability of your stock of wisdom. Your presence of mind, and your make of mettle, by defying the timidity of the cowardly and pedetentious options of the cowards are very much appreciated. By your timely stitching a fetid lession, you are enroute to healing us of a canker; however, by your loud and mordant snarling signal, the serpents in our midst appear only to have been scotched, but not yet killed. You are hereby prompted once again that don't lay aside your baculine rod, because Kwabena Agyapong is as equally dangerous, if not more dangerous for who he is, and where he is in the NPP, than Paul Afoko.

This Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong episode of deception and misdeeds, must serve as a salutary eye - opener for all future delegates. Conscience selling leads to serfdom. Most usually, the voices of the realm sound through the voices, not of the disgruntled and frustrated, but those of the prudent and discerning sniffing sentinels. Never again, will hopefully and truly be never again for our delegates. "Dont be feared," rather, stay prudent.
