The Police Killed Patriots: Pen-Armed Robbers Are Alive!

*By Akadu Ntiriwa Mensema, Ph. D.

** Dedicated to our bankrupted, jobless youths, whose dreams deferred by inept
leaders had been killed by the police, while the REAL robbers, that is, our
selfish educated-elite pen-armed robbers of MPs, Ministers, etc. live to enjoy
their stolen wealth. It is about time we ask the police to kill all Ministers,
MPs, Bankers, Prophets, Chiefs, etc. They are the REAL armed robbers, in fact,
our worse eternal enemies and the cause of all our postcolonial woes.

“Five armed robbers were gunned down Friday in a shootout with the police at
Agyiringanor, East Legon in Accra” (Ghanaweb, November 5, 2010).

“Greater Accra Regional Police Commander DCOP Rose Bio Atinga has solidly
defended and justified the shooting and killing of five suspected armed robbers
at East Legon .The Police Service has constantly received bashing from human
rights activists and members of the public for unnecessarily shooting and
killing suspected robbers…” (Ghanaweb, November 6, 2010).

The true patriots died
Patriotic armed robbers
Gunned down by the police

The politicians are alive
The REAL armed robbers
Those who rob us daily
Those who use pen, paper
Those who use demagoguery
Deadly instruments of robbery
To rob and impoverish us

In our peripheral visions
Drip-fed by sanguinary elites
The politicians, the media
The human rights activists
They REAL armed robbers
Real robbers are our SAVIORS

The Police, Army
When the sun retires
Before a new dawn emerges
Go to our Harbors, Airports,
Banks, Customs, Churches
The Castle, Parliament
Ministries, Hospitals
You, the police, invade
Invade your own Barracks
Homes of pen-armed robbers
Of Parliamentarians’ homes
Of Ministers’ posh homes
Those whose acidic selfishness
Have mummified us in poverty
Birthing a mass of jobless youth
Armed-robbery baptized youths
Go and kill, KILL them all
Kill all the pen-armed thieves
They are the REAL problem

The police should gun down
Go for JJ Rawlings
The Police patrol Agyiringanor
The province of JJ Rawlings
The land of JJ’s PALACE
The Palace he won’t burn
The self-righteous conman
Owner of palaces, mansions
Speedboats, posh cars
Nsawam Cannery
Burn him in FIRE
His Obonsam FIRE
FIRE set at Ridge

The police should gun down
Go for the Kufours
The police patrol Airport
The home of Kufour
The province of K4-HOTEL
Of sons wedded to theft
Go to the K4-Family-Hotel
Throw them down
Headlong to their deaths
From the highest floor
Of nepotistic brokerage

Police don’t patrol poor areas
Sodom/Gomorrah is a “no-go”
Oh! Too poor to be patrolled

Police patrol East Legon
Police patrol Airport Area
To protect pen-armed robbers
The elitist pen-armed thieves
The pen-armed murderers
Selfish educated elites
Self-seeking educated elites
Self-centered educated elites
The killers of the dream
Of unemployed youths
Who have nothing to do
Who see educated thieves
Their perennial role models
Elitist thieves wielding pens
Pens to impoverish them

The patriots died
The politicians are alive
The Sekyi-Hughes
The Agbodakpis
They are alive
They enjoy their loot
Educated predators, robbers
Perennial thievery role models
The pen-wielding armed robbers
