The NDC Government Makes a Joke of Itself

I have been cogitating for quite sometime, about how honest, serious and farsighted President Mills with his NDC government is. President John Evans Atta Mills by certain of his statements and utterances made impulsively does not seem to be a matured Statesman. He condemns political insults. He has the guts to invite pastors to supplicate God to end such insults yet; members of his own government have majored in political insults and insinuations with various PhD degrees. He has never dreamt of sacking any of his Deputy Ministers to serve as a warning to others awash in spewing insults or would-be politicians aspiring to regurgitate insults. He is in the driver's seat, at the wheels of the car yet unable to drive.

Many a time have his Deputy Ministers caught being vile, stooping too low to insult an entire tribe with impunity. Instead of Mr. Mills firing them there and then, he rather chooses to give them a pat on the back, rewarding them with promotions. How serious then is Mr. Mills when he admonishes against political insults? He appears to be a funny hypocrite who talks the talk but refuses to walk the walk. Until he dismisses Deputy Ministers like Kobby Acheampong and Agyenim Boateng from his government, President Mills will go down in history as the most hypocrite joke ever to rule Ghana. Many are those taking his spontaneous threats and admonitions with a pinch of salt for him failing to back his talks by actions.

For how long will the NDC government tax the patience of Ghanaians? Until when will Ghanaians permit their politicians to underestimate their intelligence? Not long ago, the Atta Mills' NDC government claimed to have created 1.6 Million jobs since taking over the reigns of government from the Kufuor's NPP administration. Let me give the government the benefit of the doubt about the veracity of the creation of the alleged jobs. Nevertheless, I have a serious question for President Mills. Are those employed in the unmentioned companies or government departments getting any remuneration for their services? While I was in Ghana a few weeks ago, I had the perfect opportunity to interview some people who have secured employment in line with the National Youth Employment Programme. The government has almost paid none of these people for the past nine months yet they go to work everyday. How does the NDC government pride itself in the creation of such bogus employments where the employees are never paid? The government by deception has secured free services from some youth of the country through the bogus National Youth Employment Programme.

While most of the youth supposed to have secured gainful employment through the National Youth Employment Programme are not paid, the government Ministers, some top NDC activists and their useless lazy radio serial-callers are getting fat salaries and wages. They are fighting over government contracts where costs are intentionally bloated to secure the lucky contractors maximum profits. The day of reckoning is not far off.

Could I please entreat the Finance and Economic Minister, Dr. Kwabena Dufuor, and the Minister of Employment to ensure they pay all the youth employed as stated their arrears sooner? A soldier walks on his stomach but here are the youth walking on empty stomach. Note, "A hungry man is an angry man"

President Mills, please open your ears and eyes to ascertain the truth on the ground. Your foul-mouthed Deputy Ministers are keeping you in the blind spot, by their diversionary insults. Most of these Ministers are as myopic, selfish, and dishonest as they probably are greedy bastards as correctly asserted by Former President J.J. Rawlings.
